Annemarie Masson studied Fine Arts in Montreal at Collège Jean-de-Brébeuf, where she earned a professional art diploma that led her to pursue Interior Design studies at Dawson College.
She began her career in Montreal as a textile illustrator, with designs sold in retail stores including Neiman Marcus. While living in Boston, she worked as a graphic designer for the internationally renowned EF Foundation and completed additional graphic design studies at the Boston Art Institute. Annemarie later joined Match Point Magazine, where she combined advertising sales with graphic design.
In Vancouver, she worked in sales for The Globe and Mail’s WEST Magazine. After moving to the greater Chicago area, Annemarie worked for many years as an artist and designer with a wide range of clients while raising her three children.
In her large-scale paintings, Annemarie draws inspiration from colour, texture, relief, and movement. Her bold and dynamic compositions are sculpted onto canvas using organic and natural materials, forming the foundation of her distinctive modern artistic style.
